The Republicans and President George W. Bush should be ashamed. Both of my readers (you know who you are and thank you for your continued support) know I have been a constant, often to-a-fault, supporter of Bush and a general rank and file supporter of the Republican party. I must now break ranks. I hope they lose this November.
Why? I don't want it this way. If our country is going to welcome an invasion from Mexico, pussy-foot around at the UN about Iran building the bomb, and be spineless politicians, I'd rather watch the Democrats do it and know I had no part in putting them there. As of today, I'm responsible for where we're going and I don't want that responsibility.
My mind has been racing lately about all of this and I have concluded governing is nothing more than a career to these RINO's (Republican in name only). Their supporters and constituents belive their lives are at stake or at least their livelihood. I don't want to be overly fatalistic but I do want to be clear about what's at stake.
The Repbulican party was elected largely by the conservative movement, on a conservative platform in 2004. Since then, they have decided it's more important to get along with John McCain, CNN, and France than to faithfully represent the voters who elected them.
I love President Bush. I believe him to be the Reagan of my generation. Like Reagan, history will remember him as a leader who made difficult decisions in difficult times. Hopefully President Bush realizes the decisions he needs to make today are easy ones.

I could not disagree more with "anonymous". Who are you to tell citizens of Mexico they are not welcome in the United States and label them as invaders.
Viva Mexico!
