When a Leader Stands Alone

If only Bush knew what he would become. Surely Rove knew what could happen.

A man whose entire persona was built around leadership has few followers left. After 9/11, 93% of the country would have followed him into hell. Today, his most hardened supporters, myself included, have no confidence in his vision for the future. 1 Possible reason; in order to lead, you MUST inspire. Bush no longer inspires.

I remember the early years like they were yesterday. The Bushies could do no wrong. They were revolutionaries taking on liberals, terrorists, despots, and taxes. With the wind at their back the future never looked brighter. Bush was to me who Reagan was to my father. A great man who could inspire greatness out of ordinary. Call evil "evil". A Father for the country when it needed it most. This presidency would change the county for ever.

I no longer believe this.
