Tom Delay is a perfect example of why Democrats don't stand a chance in '06. Not only is their strategy wrong for victory but the tactics used in support of this strategy are laughable. The conservative movement was long ridiculed by the mainstream media as a backward ideology no "smart" citizen would dare associate with. Now that same movement has cultivated leaders who don't care what is said about them in the media and answer only to their constituents. Thus the strategy of the liberals and the mainstream media has failed. Instead of turning people away from conservatism their constant negativism has not only increased conservative influence but made its leadership impervious to the media spotlight. To further remove themselves from political relevancy they have attempted to actually jail republicans in a false hope that this will turn the American people against them.
In the end the case against Tom Delay is a case against all Americans and a display of liberal dismay.
